I’m Freddy Gomoll, a cinematographer from Germany.

Inspired by the Hollywood classic Back to the Future and fueled by a lifelong love for skateboarding, I found my way behind the camera early in the 2000s and later studied cinematography at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

Along the way, I’ve shot over 400 projects across automotive, fashion & beauty, virtual production, and narrative films —
always driven by a passion for visual storytelling. Sometimes with a small, fast-moving crew, sometimes in larger commercial setups — I love the variation.

For complex shots and that touch of German precision, I believe great images begin long before the first take. That’s why I often design and previsualize scenes in 3D, shaping light, space, and composition early on.

I also work as a Directing DP on selected projects — usually productions where it fits naturally. But whenever possible, I love teaming up with directors to shape a story together.

Today, I’m still chasing perfect light every day — and, of course, that first hoverboard.
