27 years ago, I met Lothar.
At that time, I was deeply frustrated with my life.

Skateboarding — my greatest passion — had become painful. I felt pain even when I landed tricks perfectly. I saw many doctors and orthopedists, but nothing changed. No progress. No relief.

Then Lothar came into my life. He believed in me and crafted a custom orthotic for my foot — one that felt incredibly uncomfortable at first. But that discomfort was exactly what healed my pain.

Because of his work, I was able to keep skating for many more years while building my life as a cinematographer.

To honor his work and his impact on my life, I made a film.

Coming this spring: “Schritte ins Leben.”

Filming with Lothar for three days was an intense experience.

I pushed my endurance to its limits, filming completely on my own.

In the end, everything was worth it.
